Join us for a night of trail maintenance with Toronto Trail Runners and The Don Valley Rodents
- Where: Forks of the Don / Charles Sauroil Park
- When: Monday , August 3rd, 2026
- Time: 5:00 pm – 8:15 pm
We have the tools, bug spray, and refreshments! Just show up ready to lend a hand.
Toronto Trail Runners is partnering with Don Valley Rodents to help with doing some maintenance on the the lovely trails we run week after week.
Don Valley Rodents is a group of volunteers that help maintain the large network of trails in the Don Valley.
Our focus is trail maintenance, not trail building. Rodents co-operate on seasonal maintenance of the Don Valley trails; they will help prune them in the summer, rake them in the fall and clean them of debris after storms.
Come out on August 3rd at 5:00 PM to help with trimming back overgrowth of the trails. Stick around for post-maintenance cheers at the parking lot, and toast to clean, safer, and more enjoyable trails for all!
What to bring:
- Wear clothing that you don’t mind potentially being covered in debris and some dirt.
- Consider covering up your skin – Wear pants and optionally bring a layer of long sleeves, to protect your skin against any bugs and touchy plants.
- Gardening gloves or equivalent, if you have any. Few pairs will be supplied at the event.
- Comfortable footwear – Hiking boots or trail shoes work best.
- Your own bug spray, if you wish.
See you there!
